Living Abundantly through Soul Work
Have you ever thought that loving yourself as God created you could impact others and their life? Learning to love ourselves is often not the social norm. Women have been taught to love and care for those around them. But what frequently happens is that we deplete ourselves in the pursuit of being a caretaker. We are naturally leaning into the traditional sense of putting ourselves last and others first. If we showed ourselves to love and care first, we would be emotionally more robust and better equipped to extend that love to someone else.
Have you ever heard that loving yourself first is selfish and not Godly? Society has taught people to believe this, and they have internalized it. But I'm afraid I have to disagree. God made us to be great, not average, and not ordinary. God created you in his likeness. He wants you to feel abundance.
He wants you to share abundance with others, and he wants you to love abundantly. When you live according to God's purpose, you can wholly be the greatest version of yourself.
Realizing that your life is directly related to the love you share with others can be heart-opening. We often shelter our hearts from the world's hurt, keeping our goodness and passions to ourselves.
A practice of self-care, or even soul care, can be the catalyst for the change you may need in your life. Showing a positive mindset and strategically showing kindness and love to yourself will strengthen your foundations. I know you are asking how I can show myself love and care.
Well, first of all, how do you talk to yourself? Are you affirming good thoughts or unkind thoughts? How we talk to ourselves is directly linked to our heart's purpose. Speaking good, kind words to your soul daily and reminding yourself who you are sets the stage for a positive mindset. You will walk and talk more confidently when you seek positivity. Opportunities will find you, and you will lean into them with an openness and vitality that will be life-changing.
Spending quality time with yourself in silence or spoken word creates a space that reminds you that you are worthy and valued. I love to spend time with myself in meditation/prayer, allowing my mind to focus on my gratitude. When I focus on the small pieces of goodness I am experiencing in my life, all the hard stuff seems much easier to deal with. I recommend every day taking note of three things to be grateful for and journaling about it. Putting pen to paper is healing and a visual for you to utilize in the future.
Walking in nature, listening to music, and even reading a good book are all methods of spending time in a space that requires solace from others. Your soul needs time to exist, to feel that energy circling through your body, filling up those empty pockets that need a little love.
The greatest aspect of cultivating energy for yourself is that it can be shared with others, empowering them as well.
When we feel good, we do good. When we love ourselves, then we can love others. This recycled energy has so much purpose and is the basis for your soul work. Soul work is not only for you but everyone who comes in contact with you. But first, keep your tank filled, for then you can fill the tanks of others and still maintain yourself. Speaking of your tank, what are you filling it with? Are you eating a well-balanced diet? Are you getting some regular exercise? Your nutrition and activity level factor into how your body feels. Your body, mind, and soul are connected and rely on one another to maintain balance.
Have a plan for your body's maintenance. It is as essential as your soul-care work. Creating synergy between the three parts will elevate your life experience.
Regular self-care/soul-care practice will become second nature to you. You will start to feel differently, and showing up for yourself will not feel selfish but necessary.
When we practice living with an open heart, it is then that we can love abundantly.
This newfound abundance will waterfall into your life and show up financially, spiritually, and physically.
The life that you have envisioned for yourself will come to fruition, and you will experience what walking into your purpose feels like. How amazing would that be? Abundance is your destiny. You have to open the door to it. And loving yourself first will be the key. Creating a life filled with balance and practicing self-care/soul care will show up throughout your life and directly affect those close to you. Go out and share your greatness with the world. They are ready and waiting for your abundant living to shine through so they can impact their lives with your goodness!
